BELLEVILLE — Sugar River hosted the Raider Invite on Friday, May 12, where both the boys and girls teams won. The Raiders compiled 143 and 131 points, respectively, despite downpour through much of the meet.
Monroe girls took second (123), while the boys took third (125). Black Hawk, Albany and Monticello also participated. First-place finishers are as follows:

Steve Sparky Reynolds Memorial Invite
BOSCOBEL — Darlington and Pecatonica-Argyle couldn’t divert the Flying Arrows, as Lancaster won both the boys (86 points) and girls (100.66 points) divisions at the Steve “Sparky” Reynolds Invite on Thursday, May 11.
Darlington girls took fifth (49.33) with four, third-place finishes:
● Jaidyn Evenstad, 100-meter hurdles, 17.16
● 4x100 relay, 52.12
● Catie Blosch, pole vault, 8-00.00
● Chance Lange, discus, 96-09.00
The boys took 12th (26.50), as George West led the Redbirds with this third-place finish in the 400-meter dash (52.67).
Pecatonica-Argyle girls took 12th (28), led by Anna and Loretta Tisch. The pair finished fourth and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles and second and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles. Kaisen Kolb took fourth in the discus. Ridge Toay led the boys to a 17th-place finish, taking third in the 200-meter dash and 110-meter hurdles.
Rock Valley Conference
WALWORTH — Brodhead-Juda fell short in the Rock Valley Conference meet, hosted by Big Foot, on Saturday, May 13. McFarland took the title in both the boys and girls divisions. The Cardinals had just two individual conference champions in Nathan Engen and Kalena Riemer. Engen PRed in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.19, and Riemer won the 400- and 800-meters with times of 59.75 and 2:28.13, respectively.
