Raiders reach highest ranks in Capitol

LAKE MILLS — Lakeside Lutheran took an early lead in its game with Sugar River on Tuesday, Sept. 19, but the Raiders scored five unanswered goals for a 5-1 victory. With the win, Sugar River takes sole possession of first place in the Capitol Conference. 

The Raiders, ranked No. 3 in Division 3, tied the game at one with a goal from Aiden Hatleberg. Brycen Teasdale gave Sugar River a 2-1 lead going into halftime. In the second frame, Hatleberg scored two more goals for a hat trick. He also assisted Brady Mousseau for a goal.

Clayton Streiff allowed one goal with five saves, while the Raiders put 15 shots on Lakeside Lutheran’s goal.


EVANSVILLE 8, MONROE 0

EVANSVILLE — The Cheesemakers faced adversity with its third conference loss on Monday, Sept. 18. The Blue Devils’ Drew Walker scored five of Evansville’s eight goals. The remaining three came from Noah Deml, Brady Jarstad and Michael Horgen.

Monroe seeks is first conference win with a game against Jefferson on Thursday, Sept. 21. The Eagles are also winless in the Rock Valley. Results from this match can be found in the Wednesday, Sept. 27 edition of the Monroe Times.
