SOUTH WAYNE — Albany-Monticello senior Alana Durtschi hit a career milestone in her team’s 65-37 win over Black Hawk on Dec. 14. With 22 points, Durtschi tallied 1,000 in her career. She was 4-for-5 from the line with a pair of 3s.
The Comets, ranked No. 2 in Division 5, had two other players in double figures — Abby Hollis (16) and Molly Olson (11).
Maddy Place paced the Warrior with 13 points, while Kendra Haldiman recorded 10 points. Black Hawk was a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
With the win, Albany-Monticello extended its conference winning streak to 25 games, which dates back to the 2021-2022 season.
ALBANY-MONTICELLO 69, EVANSVILLE 41
EVANSVILLE — The Comets improved to 10-0 on the season with a nonconference win over the Division 3 Blue Devils on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Five players finished in double figures, led by Anna Ellinger with 15 points. Molly Olson chipped in 14 points, followed by 12 points from Dalana Trumpy. Abby Hollis and Alana Durtschi had 10 points each.
BRODHEAD 61, EVANSVILLE 43
BRODHEAD — With its conference win over Evansville on Thursday, Dec. 14, the Cardinals (3-2) jumped the Blue Devils (2-3) in the Rock Valley-Rock standings.
Allie Dahl led Brodhead with a double-double, scoring 13 points with a team-best 15 rebounds. She also tallied seven assists. Addison Yates paced the offense with 23 points, while Makenna Schooff chipped in 11 points. As a team, the Cardinals shot 12-for-18 from the charity stripe.
EAST TROY 64, MONROE 28
MONROE — Although the Cheesemakers shot 55.6% from beyond the arc, the effort was not enough to down the Trojans in a Rock Valley-Valley conference game on Thursday, Dec. 14. East Troy opened the game with a 10-point from which Monroe couldn’t recover.
Brinley Roidt led the Cheesemakers with six points, going 2-for-2 from 3-point range. She was one of four players to grab four rebounds, including Sophie Golembiewski, Anastasia Lattin and Alexis Gertsch.
ARGYLE-PECATONICA 68, BARNEVELD 47;

ARGYLE — The Orioles, ranked No. 6 in Division 5, picked up a pair of road wins on Dec. 14 and Dec. 16.
In its Six Rivers East Conference contest on Thursday, Argyle-Pecatonica knocked down seven 3s, with two of them from Anna Tisch (12 points). Anna Tisch was one of three players in double figures, including Kylie Butler with a team-high 22 points and Brooke Wellnitz with 12 points.
Butler also led the Orioles in their contest against Warren with 20 points. Loretta Tisch tallied 18 points with a pair of threes. Avari Steiner (9 points) also sank two 3s.
DARLINGTON 67, SOUTHWESTERN 31
DARLINGTON — The Lady Redbirds rebounded from their first loss of the season to defeat the Wildcats in a SWAL conference game on Thursday, Dec. 14.
Darlington never trailed and used its defense to create offensive separation. The team tallied 21 steals and 15 deflections, forcing 39 turnovers for 34 points.
Sadie Goebel scored 17 points with a pair of 3s. Aubrey McCarthy and Maddie Gratz also finished in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively. McCarthy and Zoie Zuberbuhler grabbed a team-best five rebounds, while Jaidyn Evenstad recorded six assists and seven steals.
