Clean defense saves Cheesemakers

REEDSBURG — Monroe improved its record to 2-1 with a 10-4 over Reedsburg on Tuesday, March 28. Although both teams recorded eight hits, the Beavers committed five errors, giving the Cheesemakers eight unearned runs. 

Katie Witt went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and two RBIs to lead Monroe. Brinley Roidt and Olivia Feller also drove in two runs. 

Katrina Sathoff used her speed to generate offense, collecting one hit with one walk. She stole one base and scored two runs.

Kaegann Paulson picked up her first varsity win in the circle, giving up four earned runs on eight hits. She struck out 13 and walked five.
