Buschor’s double-double leads Darlington

BOSCOBEL — With its 78-42 win over Boscobel on Friday, Feb. 16, Darlington kept pace with Mineral Point atop the SWAL standings.

In Friday’s contest, the No. 2 Redbirds had three players in double figures. Broker Buschor had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Will Murray also finished with 18 points, and Carter Murray added 17. 

NEW GLARUS 93, CAMBRIDGE 65

NEW GLARUS — Glarner Knights senior Jake Roth set the program’s single-season assists record in a Capitol South win on Friday, Feb. 16. The previous mark, 147, was set by Tyler Kreklow in 2012. Roth now has 153 assists on the season.

Charlie Sarbacker led the Glarner Knights in Friday’s contest with 22 points, all but one of which came beyond the arc. Three other players finished in double figures — Max Marty (19), Cade Thayer (11) and Brett Warrell (10).

EDGERTON 75, BRODHEAD 55

BRODHEAD — The Crimson Tide had two players with 20-plus points in a Rock Valley Conference win over the Cardinals on Friday, Feb. 16. 

Jaxon Dooley was the only Brodhead player in double figures, finishing with 13 points. Brody Riese had a team-high five rebounds.

MONTICELLO 39, ALBANY 29

ALBANY — Monticello senior Ryer Indergand scored his 1,000th career point in a Six Rivers East win over Albany on Friday, Feb. 16.

Indergand scored 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and added 12 rebounds for a double-double. Alex Roe also finished in double figures with 11 points. 

Ty Durtschi recorded 11 points for the Comets, while Drew Sertle had a team-best eight rebounds. 

BARNEVELD 71, BLACK HAWK 32

BARNEVELD — The Eagles clinched at least a share of the Six Rivers East Conference title with their win over the Warriors on Friday, Feb. 16. Kasey Helgeson scored 35 points.

Brycen Wilson led Black Hawk with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

In other local boys basketball action, Black Hawk fell to Palmyra-Eagle 53-32 on Saturday, Feb. 17. Argyle defeated Juda 75-52 on Friday, Feb. 16.
