PLATTEVILLE - The Monroe-New Glarus girls swimming team set seven personal records en route to finishing sixth place at the Platteville Invitational Saturday.
River Valley outdistanced Sauk Prairie 462-425 to win the nine-team meet. The Cheesemakers racked up 157 points. Monroe-New Glarus freshman Maddie Hammer won the 100-meter breaststroke with a PR time of 1 minute, 11.15 seconds. Hammer took second place in the 200 individual medley with a PR of 2:22.17. The Cheesemakers' 200 medley relay of Abby Oudinot, Hammer, Anna Wolf and Reagan Andersen finished third place (2:02.31). Monroe sophomore Skylar Lassen set a PR in the 100 freestyle finishing in 59.66 seconds.
