The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering flag football for any third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade boys and girls. The cost is $19 for residents and $29 for non-residents. Flag football is held Tuesday's after school at Recreation Park. The first practice is Sept. 14 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for all participants. Games will begin Tuesday, Sept. 21 and end Tuesday, Oct. 26. Games will start at 3:30 p.m. Game times will depend on the number of teams.
Registration forms are available at the department's office and will be distributed to all Monroe grade schools and the Middle School, or you can log on to www.cityofmonroe.org, and download a registration form from the brochure. Registration forms are due at the Parks and Recreation office by Friday, Sept. 10.
