Cheesemakers tie Fort Atkinson

FORT ATKINSON - Fort Atkinson scored a game-tying goal with 34 seconds left to tie Monroe at 2 in the final regular season game for the Cheesemakers.

"We kept reminding guys to get back on 'D," Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said. "We had a couple of guys up trying to get another goal. With one minute left everyone should have been behind the ball."

Monroe sophomore Ryne Miller scored a goal at 22 minutes, 14 seconds to tie the game at 1. Monroe junior Mohammad Assaf scored the go-ahead goal at 74:50 to give the Cheesemakers a 2-1 lead.

Monroe senior goalkeeper Austin Murphy had eight saves. The Cheesemakers (4-11-1, 1-4-1 Badger South) out-shot the Blackhawks 7-6.

Wisconsin Dells 1

BELLEVILLE - Sugar River junior Dylan Hustad recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals to power the Raiders to an 8-1 win over Wisconsin Dells.

Sugar River junior Andrew DeLorme scored the first goal for the Raiders at 22:04. Hustad then scored his first goal at 28:33 to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead. Hustad scored his second goal on an assist from Andrew Emmerton at 31:59. Emmerton scored a goal at 38:02 on a pass from Nehemiah Noriega at 38:02 to give the Raiders a 4-0 lead. Junior Kyle Sparr added a goal to give the Raiders a 5-0 lead at the half. With the win, Sugar River improves to 13-8-1, 7-2 Capitol Conference. The Raiders finished second place in the conference behind Lodi, which beat Lakeside Lutheran 1-0.

Sugar River senior Kody Popenfus scored a goal on an assist from Richard Bly at 56:53. Freshman teammate Brock Kelly scored on a pass from Hustad at 66:51 to give the Raiders a 7-0 lead. Hustad scored his final goal on an assist from Jesse Mattmann at 73:46.

Sugar River goalkeeper Cullen Denny had five saves.
