Brodhead takes second

MONROE - A few Monroe Mat Rat wrestlers competed in the Pecatonica-Argyle tournament last weekend.

Coming away with first place finishes were Timmy Andersen and Brady Schuh. Christian Schuh took second place. Lukas Andersen and Garret Voegeli each took third place in their weight classes.

The Brodhead youth wrestling team finished second place at the Pec-Argyle tournament.

The following wrestlers helped the team to attain this Trophy. First, from the first- and second-grade brackets: Brooks Malkow and Nolan Oliver also finished first place with three pins each and Grayson Erb also took first place and Jayden Anderson took fourth place.

In the third- and fourth-grade brackets, Cole Hoesly finished first with one pin. Aaron Makos took third place with one pin and Blake Doran also took third place. Karson Miller and C.J. Streuly took fourth place.

In the fifth- and sixth-grade brackets, Braden Erb finished second place with one pin and James Harper took third place. Finally, in the seventh- and eighth-grade bracket, Kaleb Erb took second with one pin.
