JUDA - Black Hawk junior Conner Meyer scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Warriors to a 76-52 win over Juda Friday.
Black Hawk (2-2 Six Rivers East) jumped out to a 37-23 lead at the half. Black Hawk seniors Jett Rufenacht, Jason Treuthardt and junior Colby Argall each added 10 points.
"The difference was Black Hawk did a nice job of getting the ball into Conner Meyer in the first half," Juda coach Kurtis Mansfield said. "That slowed our tempo down, and we weren't shooting like we have done in previous conference games."
Juda senior Keagen Haffele scored a team-high 19 points and Cole Fortney added 13 points. With the loss, Juda drops to 3-4 overall, 2-2 Six Rivers East.
Belleville 73, Palmyra-Eagle 59
BELLEVILLE - Senior Drew Shrader scored a game-high 28 points to propel the Wildcats to a big nonconference win over Palmyra-Eagle.
Belleville led just 38-34 at the half. However, the Wildcats (3-3) outscored the Panthers 35-25 in the second half. Belleville's Sawyer Fahey added 15 points.
In other action, Pecatonica defeated Monticello 54-49. With the win, Pecatonica improves to 5-1 overall, 3-0 Six Rivers East. Monticello drops to 1-5 overall, 1-2 Six Rivers East.
