Avalanche go 1-0-1 last weekend in Bantam play

MONROE - On Saturday, the Avalanche Bantams played against Beloit's A hockey team resulting and won 2-0. Both goals for the game were by Alex Landen and were assisted by Eric Bush, Matt Hodgson and Jake Trickel.

Goalie Brennan Bescup had 29 saves.

On Sunday, the Bantam team went up against Janesville's A hockey team resulting in their first tie of the season, 2-2, though for most of the game Janesville led 2-0.

The Avalanche made a comeback and in the last two minutes of the third period Landen scored on an assist by Trickel.

Then, in the last 23 seconds of the game, the Avalanche pulled their goalie for a 6 on 5 advantage, resulting in a goal by Trickel. He received an assist by Hodgson. Bescup recorded 36 saves.

The Avalanche will host McFarland at 7 p.m. Friday at SLICE, with the varsity team hosting Kenosha at 8:30 p.m.
