ARGYLE - Hot shooting by Argyle senior Jessica Treuthardt and Jozey Thoman led the Orioles to a 54-27 win over Juda Saturday, Jan. 11.
Treuthardt scored a game-high 17 points and Thoman scored 13 points and made four 3-pointers to pace the Orioles. Argyle (3-4, 2-2 Six Rivers East) jumped out to a 10-3 lead and led by 15 points at the half.
The Orioles also outscored the Panthers 28-16 in the second half.
Juda's Molly Marass scored a team-high 10 points and teammate Cheyenne Ambler added six points.
Cassville 45, Albany 41
CASSVILLE - Albany couldn't hang on to a halftime lead on the road Saturday and Cassville came back to win 45-41.
Albany (1-9, 1-3 Six Rivers East) led 24-20 at the half. However, Cassville outscored them 25-17 in the second half.
Albany shot 70 percent at the free throw line (7 of 10) compared to 73 percent for Cassville (22 of 30).
Albany's Felicia Conley scored a a team-high 18 points and made four 3-pointers.
Teammates Alexis Kennedy and Marley Malkow each chipped in six points for the Comets.
Mineral Point 72, Pecatonica 34
MINERAL POINT - The Vikings were no match for Mineral Point as the Pointers rolled to a 72-34 non-conference win Saturday.
Mineral Point (4-5) was led by Clara Chambers who scored a game-high 21 points and Jessica Schultz who had 15 points. The Pointers outscored the Vikings 13-4 in the first quarter and the lead snowballed to 16 points at the half.
The Pointers outscored the Vikings 19-7 in the third quarter to put the game away.
For Pecatonica (0-11), 0-4 Six Rivers East), Emily Scoville scored a team-high 11 points.
Brodhead 59, East Troy 15
BRODHEAD - The No. 2 ranked Brodhead girls basketball team had no problems against East Troy rolling to a 59-15 win Friday to stay unbeaten.
Brodhead (9-0) outscored the Trojans 19-5 in the first quarter to take control of the game. The Cardinals outscored the Trojans 22-4 in the third quarter to build an insurmountable 37 point lead.
Brodhead senior Carly Mohns scored a game-high 24 points. Senior Rachel Heller added eight points and Meg Duffield and Kylie Moe both chipped in seven points.
Brodhead will host Big Eight Conference school Madison La Follette today, Jan. 13.
