Todd Joel Plantikow, age 49 of Monroe died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Todd was born on October 1, 1969 the son of Herman Jr. and Caryl (Fuchs) Plantikow. He attended school in Monticello and Monroe. Todd married Kerry Paterson on November 4, 1994 in Monroe, they later divorced.

He worked for Bisbee’s Carpet in McFarland for 8 years, Figi’s, and was employed as head herdsman for Mik-Tam Dairy in Albany for the past 12 years.

Todd loved going to Branson, MO and Charlie Pride concerts. He was a loving and caring person, going above and beyond to help anyone in need, be it fixing something, helping move or just help on a farm lending hand. He was a hard worker, starting at age 11.

Todd enjoyed working on cars for relatives and neighbors. He loved to cook, especially his famous goulash, rice krispy bars, and meatloaf. He was a “super hero” to his great-niece and nephews, who adored him very much, and will miss him dearly as he took them to school every day. He enjoyed family gatherings, cook-outs, and especially Christmas, when he would hand out the presents to the children.  

He is survived by his loving mother, Caryl Plantikow of Brodhead; 7 siblings: Tamie (Kenneth) Kreitling of Garland, TX, Terri (Kerry Segner) Olson of Browntown, Troy (Theresa) Plantikow of Minoqua, Traci Luebke of South Wayne, Teresa (Duane) Carpenter of Monticello, Therman and Taryl Plantikow of Monroe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman on Nov. 1, 2016; and infant brother, Timothy in 1973; great-nephew, Tripp Luebke on May 13, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 19, 2019 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Heffelfinger officiating. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
