Shirley A. Lausch, age 86 of Monroe, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Shirley was born on July 13, 1934 in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Garfield and Lula Colden. She married Alyn Wayne Lausch on June 7, 1953 in Cedarville, IL. Shriley worked as a bank teller at Commercial Bank for several years while raising her children. Shirley was a member of the Monroe Moose Lodge where she enjoyed spending time with friends and playing cards. She also participated in womens bowling leagues at Leisure Lanes, winning the league “Congeniality Award” several years in a row. An avid sports fan, Shirley enjoyed watching and rooting for all Wisconsin teams. Her funny sense of humor and infectious laugh will be missed by so many.
She is survived by four children, Kandee Maddrell of Monroe, Kerry (Stacie) Lausch of Crystal Lake, IL, Karci (Rick) Wenger of Monroe, Krae (Nancy) Lausch of Victoria, MN; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Leah (John David) Meyer of Argyle, Karen Hauser of Wiota, Garnett Hutton of Medford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne, on November 25, 2019; son, Kim, in 1979; brother, Garness Colden; and sister, Joyce Combs.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Sarah Mae Gabuyo officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.
