Miriam A. Glenn-Rufenacht, age 95, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Pleasant View Nursing Home.  She was born the daughter of Alvin and Alma (Ingold) Glenn on September 22, 1927 in Belleville.  She attended school in New Glarus. Miriam married Robert Rufenacht on November 28, 1944 in Monroe; together they had 5 children.  She later married Paul Dubach.

Miriam proudly raised her family and took care of her home.  She also worked outside the home, working at the Swiss Colony Outlet Store until she was 90 years old.  She loved polka music and going to Turner Hall and The New Glarus Hotel to dance.  Miriam also enjoyed traveling, especially to Switzerland.  She was a member of St. Victors Catholic Church.

Miriam is survived by her children, Gary (Rhonda) Rufenacht, Tom (Sharon) Rufenacht, Dave (Lynne) Rufenacht, Rick (Annette Wenger) Rufenacht, and Ann Marie (Bill) Schager all of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Duane (Hermina) Glenn.

A Private Family Funeral Service will held at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Father Tafadzwa Kushamba as celebrant.  Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
