Marlene Helen Winn, age 81, of Monroe passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe. Born on November 8, 1941 the daughter of Walter Sr. and Helen (Broege) Grossen. Marlene graduated from Monroe High School. She was united in marriage to Roland Winn on August 16, 1959 at the Peace Church in Christ in Browntown.
Marlene embraced the role of a farm wife, taking care of her family and home while also working on the farm. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she instilled in her children the values of hard work, love, and respect. Later in life, Marlene transitioned into a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pleasant View Nursing Home, where she served for 24 years.
Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to lunch with friends and traveling with her sister and brother-in-law, Janeen and Jim Roth. Their travels took them to many exciting places, including Niagara Falls, Hershey, Pennsylvania, Amish Communities in Pennsylvania, Maine, Las Vegas (several times), and Hawaii. These trips brought her immense joy and created memories that she cherished.
Marlene is survived by her children, Denise (Jan) Miller and Linda Kuntzelman, both of Monroe; grandchildren, Amber (Cassie) Evonovich, Erin Kuntzelman, Ashley (Gabe Phillips) Miller, and Adam Miller; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Evonovich, Mylee Evonovich, Ashton Hale, Cade Miller, and Skyler Turner; siblings, Kenneth Grossen, Allen (Glenda) Grossen, Janeen Roth, and David (Virginia) Grossen; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Grossen and Chris Grossen; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Roland Winn; son, Michael Winn; her brothers, Walter Grossen, Jr. and Dennis Grossen; her brother-in-law, Jim Roth; and her nephew, Steve Grossen.
