Marilyn Jean Blum, age 63, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 4, 1956, the daughter of Raymond and Esther (Beutzer) Godfrey in Darlington. She was a 1974 graduate of Argyle High School.
Marilyn worked in the bakery at Swiss Colony for 11 years; she had worked for Taco Bell in Monroe for the last 5 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing solitaire on her phone, puzzles, and crosswords. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Jennifer Jones of South Wayne and Jason (Lisa) Blum of Kenosha; grandchildren, Ashley, Bailey, Payton, Tyler, Wesley, A.J., Kimberly, and Maurice, Jr.; one great-grandson, Ka’mahni; and brothers, Ronald “Dean”, Dwayne (Gloria), Roger, and Kim Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Godfrey; granddaughter, Lyanna Lynn Jones; and sister-in-law, Susan Godfrey.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello with Pastor Lance Smith officiating.
