Karleen K. Trapp, age 80 of Monroe passed away on Monday, January 2, 2022 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe. She was born on November 13, 1942 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Hilman ad Goldie (Yanda) Schroeder. Karleen graduated from Merrill High School in 1960. She later attended and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in LaCrosse and became a Registered Nurse in 1966.
Karleen was united in marriage to Donald Trapp on January 27, 1968. Together they moved to Monroe in 1972, where Karleen worked as a trauma and ICU Nurse at St. Clair Hospital. She was a longtime member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Monroe.
Karleen enjoyed quilting she was a founding member of Courthaus Quilters. She was also active in the group that raised the money, purchased, and staffed the first ambulance service in Green County.
Karleen is survived by her son, Michael Paul of Monroe; sisters, Kathie Fordham of Sparks, NV, and Klaudia Raprager of Tampa, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and daughter Leah Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Ewings officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Hawthorn Cemetery in Wiota.
