Judith “Honey” Coplien, age 80 of Monroe, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 29, 1938 in Madison, the daughter of Jacob and Lucille (Smith) Huber. She graduated from Monticello High School. Judith married Jerry I. Coplien on October 28, 1956 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. She was a Music teacher and also an antiques dealer. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; she enjoyed antiques, cooking and playing the piano. She was a co-founder of the Green County Humane Society.

She is survived by her son, Gerald (Lori) Coplien of Monroe; 7 grandchildren: Shenelle (Justin Petker) Coplien, Shandra (Micah Thorp) Coplien, Stevie (Josh) Hardyman, Alexa Coplien, Jerry Vaughan Coplien, Garrett Coplien, and Lexie Vordermann; 3 great grandchildren: Janessa, Jayce and Edison. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Brenda Coplien; brother, Leon Huber; and sister, Janice Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 17, 2018 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
