Jack L. Thomas, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on December 22, 1941 in Freeport, IL. to Robert and Margaret (Myers) Weckerly. At the age of four, he was adopted by Lloyd and Marjorie (Morse) Thomas of Pearl City, Illinois. He was raised as an only child working hard on the family farm which he continued to do well into his adulthood. He served in the Army Reserves from 1960-1968. He was united in marriage to Brenda Buol on November 4, 1989 in Monroe. He continued farming until the age of 56 when he then started working at the Monroe Cab Company until he retired at the age of 70.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Brenda, three daughters; Megan, 25, of Orangeville, IL.; Holly, 23, of Jeju Island, South Korea; and Jennifer, 22, also of Orangeville, IL. He is further survived by his brother Bob (Vicki) Bunnell of Freeport, IL., sisters Cathy Sittig of Necedah, WI., and Carol Frazer of Platteville, WI., and many nieces and nephews, his feline companions; Socks and Daisy and his dearest lifelong friend, Andy Kuhlemeier.

As per his request, there will be no funeral services. He chose to donate his body to science via MedCure.
