Frederick W. Brandt, age 94, of Monroe, died on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Monroe Health Services. He was born on November 24, 1923 in Magnolia, the son of Fred and Katherine (Kubly) Brandt.

Fred and Juanita Isely were united in marriage on April 14, 1948 in Brodhead.

He spent part of his school years in the Mineral Point area; after marriage he farmed in the Jordan Township area and did custom farm work. He moved to Monroe in 1975, he worked for Kerr Mcgee, he also worked as patrolman for Jefferson Township for 17 years; and later worked for security at Swiss Colony.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ; the Antique Wheelers and Auxiliary Police for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; sons, Steven (Cindy) Brandt, Richard Brandt (Doreen), Donald (Tammy) Brandt; daughters, Linda (James) Bauman, Joan Brandt (Jerry Metz), Debra (Jeff) Rupnow and Susie (Kenton) Krueger; 10 grandchildren: Kristin, Traci, Jackie, Janel, Jorden, Jeanna, Brad, Alex, Jenna, and Savannah; 6 great grandchildren: Madisyn, Rielle, Brooks, Ayden, Anna and Trent; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, sisters, Grace Disch, Hilda Schwadewaldt, and Gertrude Krauss.

A Celebration of Frederick’s life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Monroe Moose Lodge from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at:  www.shriner111.com
