Eugene “Geno” Haag, age 77 formally of the Monroe area passed away on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at the Franciscan Center in Toledo, OH. He was born the son of Jacob and Hattie (Pilz) Haag.

Geno was a truck driver for Badger Produce in Madison for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of St. Victor’s Catholic Church. Geno loved the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and the Bucks. He enjoyed traveling to the cheese factories and sausage shops throughout Wisconsin. He donated generously to the Apostolate to the Handicapped, the Salvation Army, and Toledo Cherry Street Ministries. Most of all he loved his family.

Eugene is survived by his nephew, David (Jessica) Long; great niece, Sheenah (Tom) Miller; great nephews, Kenneth, Timothy, and Joseph Long; and great-great nieces, Rachael and Emily Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gladys Long.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Father Mick Moon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home in Monroe. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com
