Dwight R. Hull, age­­­­ 81, of Gratiot, WI passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI. He was born in Orangeville, IL on January 5, 1940, the son of Stanley and Frances (Jensen) Hull. He was united in marriage to Mavis E. Schwartz on March 30, 1960 in Orangeville, IL. Dwight farmed all of his life. He moved to Shullsburg in 1996 where he has resided where he resided until moving to Gratiot where he has resided since. He also worked at ITW (Shake Proof) in Darlington, WI for fourteen years retiring in 2010. 

Dwight is survived by his wife: Mavis Hull of Gratiot; six children: Kathy Plaskey of Blanchardville, WI, Sharon Hull of Argyle, Robert (Konnye) Hull of South Wayne, WI, Tony (Nicole) Hull of Gratiot, Roy (Kimberly) Hull of Gratiot, and Lisa Rosebrook of Argyle; eighteen grandchildren, and sixteen great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Lewis Hull and one sister: Marie Thoman.

He was a past member of Orangeville Methodist Church. Dwight enjoyed pulling a team of horses followed by a hearse for Frank’s Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll, IL. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family – especially his grandchildren, creating memories they will all cherish forever.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. at Gratiot Evangelical Free Church (5605 Main St. Gratiot, WI) with Rev. Glenn Andes of Gratiot Evangelical Free Church in Gratiot officiating. Burial will be in Gratiot ME Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. at the church in Gratiot.
