Dorothy A. Miller, age 92 of Monroe, formerly of Browntown, died peacefully Monday, December 20, 2021 at Graceland Manor. She was born on June 6, 1929 in Gratiot, WI, the daughter of Palmer and Elsie (Siedschlag) Wahler. She graduated from South Wayne High School in 1948. Dorothy married Charles Miller on July 9, 1949 at the West Wiota Lutheran Church. Dorothy helped her husband on the farm from 1951-2001; she also worked at Wilkes grocery store in Browntown and later at Oaktron Industries.

She was a member of Peace Church in Christ, Browntown; she enjoyed collecting precious moments, snowmobiling with her husband, gardening, canning, and working in her flower beds. She was a wonderful cook and looked forward to the family get togethers at the farm.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Julie) Miller of Monroe; son-in-law, Michael Dunlavy; sister, Mary Quanbeck of Sioux Falls, SD; brother-in-law, Royal Karlen of Monroe; 6 grandchildren: Nicole (Steve) O’Dell of Menomonie, Kim (Jarrod) Osborn of Fremont, Nick (Katrina) Dunlavy of Brodhead, Kourtney (David) Lauer of Helenville, Bryan (Jenessa) Miller of Verona, Erinn (Garrett) Mueller of Stewartville, MN; 11 great grandchildren: Corinne and Caroline O’Dell; Isaac, Chase, and Hannah Osborn; Spencer and Sydney Dunlavy; Drew, Brody, and Isla Mueller; and Alexis Lauer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Debra Dunlavy; sisters, Virginia Dischler, Marjorie Brinkmeier, and Betty Karlen.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Peace Church in Christ, Browntown, with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery in South Wayne. A visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the Church. SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to either Peace Church in Christ, Browntown or Green County Humane Society.
