Cynthia “Cindy” Jane Brandt, age 64, of rural Browntown passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Rachel’s Choice Assisted Living after a battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. She was born the daughter of Carroll and Jeanette (Hartwig) Lisney on October 14, 1957 in Monroe. She was a 1975 graduate of Dakota High School. Cindy was united in marriage to Steven F. Brandt on December 7, 1996 in Elco, Nevada.

Cindy worked for the Green County Sheriff’s Department for over 15 years; she had also worked at Microswitch in Freeport. She dearly loved her dogs, which led her to her favorite job at the Doggy Pound.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Steve of Browntown; step-children, Kristin (Dan) Allison-Gramer of Johnson City, TN, Tracy (Larry) Newcomer and Jackie (Randy) Yaun all of Browntown; 4 step-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Lisney of Davis, IL; sisters, Deborah (Lynn) Zimmerman of Freeport and Sheila (Gerald “Fuzzy”) Karlen of Monroe; and three special nieces, Brianna, Tawni, and Carie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Hartwig and father, Carroll Lisney.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made in Cindy’s name to Monroe SSM Health Hospice.
