Brigitte Gertrud Roeschli, age 89 of Monroe, WI passed away peacefully at Community Living Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.  Brigitte was born February 21, 1934 in Bordesholm, Germany, the daughter of August and Annie (Torresin) Ihl.  She attended schools in Germany.  She came to this country on October 5, 1960.  On October 6, 1962 she was united in marriage to William Jacob Roeschli at the Little Brown Church in Vale, Iowa.

Brigitte worked at Swiss Colony, retiring from the copy center.  She was a member of the Hope Evangelical Free Church.  Brigitte enjoyed macrame, crocheting, sewing, gardening, and baking.

She is survived by her three sons, Hans Roeschli of Medford, MN, Dan (Amy) Roeschli of Janesville, and Mike Roeschli of Monroe; and grandchildren, Heidi Roeschli, Jacob, and Lindsey Roeschli.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, William Roeschli; and siblings, Renate Thompson, Wolfgang (Margrit) Ihl, Uwe (Rita) Ihl, Dorla (Wolfgang) Kieckbush, and Luise (Wolfgang) Behrend; and daughter-in-law, Anna Roeschli.

A Celebration of Brigitte’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a short service following with Pastor Rick Haworth officiating at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
