BROOKLYN – Beth Elaine Flood, age 83, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on February 14, 2021, in rural Brooklyn on the family farm, the daughter of Peter and Ida (Zimmer) Kauth.
She was united in marriage to Ken Flood on June 2, 1956, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Evansville. They spent their lives building their farm and family. Beth lived and loved life as a farmer's wife and experienced everything from arts and crafts to horses and motorcycles. She spent many of her years driving an Evansville school bus and working at a Monroe law office.
Beth is survived by her children, Roger (Lois) Flood of Yorktown, VA, Rick (Jan) Flood of Brooklyn, Kendall (Irada) Flood of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren, Sarah (David) Flood Krage, Wendy (Bobby) Flood Tomlinson, Aubrey Parks, Jeremy (Heather) Flood, Brandon Flood, Matt (Pauline) Flood, Luci (Joe) Flood Koopmans, Jamie (Laura) Flood, Hannah Flood; eleven great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Cook; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ken; her parents Peter and Ida; siblings Donna and Rollyn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday February 19, 2021 at Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home Evansville with Reverend Pauljaj Sellam officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Evansville. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
