WCC introduces new Advocacy & Engagement Facilitator
Eyon-Alexander-Biddle,-Sr.
Eyon Alexander Biddle, Sr.

MADISON — After serving on the Community Health Program team at the Wisconsin Council of Churches (WCC) for almost two years, Eyon Alexander Biddle, Sr. (he/him) will be taking on the position of Advocacy & Engagement Facilitator. As part of the Innovation & Justice Team, Eyon will be focusing on equipping members of Council networks to address justice in their own context. Energized by mobilizing communities, educating individuals, and empowering change, he is dedicated to encouraging both study and action.

Eyon’s approach goes beyond reacting to social issues. He understands the power of mobilizing communities around public policy and inspiring them to hold the government accountable for the well-being of its citizens. He envisions a world where people recognize their civic duty to demand more from their government, understanding that they are more powerful together than alone.

In his work, Eyon challenges the status quo, particularly in the intersection of religion and politics. Eyon’s passion lies in politically educating individuals, helping them understand the impact of state and federal government decisions on their localities, whether county, city, or school district. He skillfully uses scripture to challenge inaction and compels people toward action, ensuring that faith is not merely a passive belief but a driving force for positive change. For Eyon, all of this is organizing space, a platform to connect and engage with communities effectively.

Eyon Alexander Biddle, Sr. embodies the values of the WCC, promoting justice, diversity, and community engagement. With his strong communication skills and dedication to empowering change, he is an important conversation and action partner for the work of fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and accountable society.

Eyon is based in Milwaukee and maintains office hours in Madison several days each month. He is also available for Zoom meetings throughout the state.
