WILLOW SPRINGS — The Town of Willow Spring in Lafayette County held a special meeting Nov. 6 to discuss Village Powers and wind turbines. 

Willow Springs wanted to approve an ordinance for the wind turbines to have further setbacks from people’s homes in the township. In order to do that ordinance, the township needed Village Powers. There were 175 to 180 people in attendance. 

Village Powers did not get approved for the Township of Willow Springs.

After some discussion a vote was taken for Village Powers. There were 52 “Yes” votes and 113 “No” votes.
