Two-vehicle crash injures 6, including 3 kids

The two people in the Chevrolet Corvette refused medical treatment at the scene. The four occupants of the minivan were transported to UW Hospital by ambulance.
YORK TOWNSHIP - Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at about 3 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of County C and Sandy Hook Road in York township. According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, a van pulling a trailer driven by Robert L. Wenger, 47, Brooklyn, was northbound on County C when Wenger went to turn onto Sandy Hook Road. While turning, Wenger collided head-on with a car driven by Theodore R. Miller, 46, New Glarus, who was westbound on C.

The airbags went off in the vehicle driven by Miller. He and his passenger, Tamara R. Johnson, 41, New Glarus, both received non-life threatening injuries. They refused medical transport. They were wearing their seatbelts.

The occupants in Wenger's vehicle had also received non-life threatening injuries. Wenger's occupants, Rhandee H. Wenger, 15; Robyn L. Wenger, 13; Ronny L. Wenger, age unknown; and Robert Wenger were all transported by Brooklyn, Belleville and Albany EMS to UW Hospital. Their seatbelt usage is unknown at this time. There was no airbag deployment in their vehicle.

Both vehicles received severe damage and were towed from the scene.

The Albany Police and Fire departments along with the Belleville Police Department assisted the sheriff's department at the scene.

The case remains under investigation.
