During the week of April 4, Dane County Contracting installed 450 feet of water main at intersection of 10th Avenue and 8th street, and along 9th Street from 11th Avenue to 12th Avenue. Rock Road Companies rolled into town this week and started on their initial work. They completed all of the pavement sawing and started on the tree and brush removals on 8th Street from Wisconsin 69 to 10th Avenue.

Next week, Dane County Contracting will continue with the water main installation along 9th Street from 12th Avenue to 13th Avenue. After the water main is installed to 13th Avenue, they will move back to 11th Avenue and start with the sanitary sewer installation to 13th Avenue and connect the sewer and water services as they move toward 13th Avenue.

Next week, Rock Road Companies will continue with the tree removals throughout the corridor. By Tuesday, they should be milling off the asphalt pavement for recycling along the entire corridor from Wisconsin 69 to 20th Avenue. All intersections will remain open for cross traffic the majority of the time, except when they have to install utilities through the intersection.

The city will be reducing the speed limit on Wisconsin 69 to 25 miles per hour. This reduction in speed will be posed from 16th Street to 6th Street (from the humane society to Pizza Hut).
