MONROE — The second Taste of Green County will be held at 6 p.m. July 28 at the Minhas Brewery. The event, supporting the Blackhawk Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, will feature food from Bullets Pizza, Klondike Cheese, Buggyworks, Frank’s Franks, Maple Leaf Cheese, Minhas Kitchen and New Glarus Bakery. Local scouts will be making fresh fruit cobblers for dessert, with ice cream provided by the Green County Ag Chest.
In addition to the food and a tour of the brewery, there will be a raffle and bucket auctions, with prizes including a .410 Tristar shotgun, a Savage Axis .223 rifle, John Deere collectibles and gift certificates from Galena favorites, including Hawk Valley Retreat and Guest House, Desoto House and Log Cabin Restaurant.

The Blackhawk Area Council is chartered by the national council of the Boy Scouts of America to serve youth in Green, Grant and Lafayette counties in Wisconsin and Boone, Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago counties in Illinois.
