BRODHEAD — A drug bust last week led to the arrest of a Roscoe, Ill. man in Brodhead.

Officers with the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) held an operation at 7:20 a.m. on Aug. 28, executing a search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of West 2nd Avenue in the City of Brodhead, according to a press release. 

“Drugs and multiple items of drug paraphernalia were located and seized during the search,” Chief Brian Raupp said in the press release.

Richard G. Garcia, 30, Roscoe, Ill., was arrested for Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Charges and any court date had not been set as of press time Sept. 2.

Garcia has prior traffic violations in Wisconsin, including OWI in Rock County in Sept. 2023 when he was a resident of Janesville.
