MONROE - A new pirate event called Family Pirate Scavenger Hunt will be held from Friday, Aug. 3 to Monday, Aug. 13.
A list of treasures to hunt for will be emailed to participants on Friday, Aug. 3. Participants must collect as many treasures from the list as they can in a treasure chest (shoebox). Families who collect the most items will win prizes, such as a Monroe pool pass; Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park tickets; Noah's Ark tickets; Wisconsin Dells Jet Boat Tour; Wisconsin Ducks tour; or a Heartland Graphics family pack of T-shirts and frisbees.
Each item collected from the list is worth one point and the treasure chest created is worth 25 points. Participants must submit the treasure chest and the list by Monday, Aug. 13 to the Monroe Park and Rec office. Winners will be notified by Wednesday, Aug. 15.
