MONROE - Rent Smart, a tenant training program, is set for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 in the auditorium at the Green County Human Services, N3152 Wisconsin 81.
The free program provides practical education to help people looking for rental housing to acquire and keep decent housing. The program is specifically designed to help persons who are likely to have difficulty obtaining rental housing.
Topics include finding a place to live; checking out the rental unit and the landlord; understanding rental agreements; maintenance: who is responsible for what; and giving notice, security deposits and evictions.
Those who attend must attend the entire session to receive a free pizza lunch and certificates of completion.
