MHLC reveals new technology
Eamon-and-ROSA

DARLINGTON — Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (MHLC) will reveal their new ROSA robot at an open house on Sept. 26. The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. in the Main Lobby at the Hospital.

At the event, community members will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Eamon Bernardoni, who started with MHLC earlier this month. Dr. Bernardoni attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he was named the Chief Orthopedic Surgical Resident from 2022-23. His medical interests include joint replacements, sports medicine, carpal tunnel surgery, orthopedic fracture care and robotic assisted orthopedic surgery. He is a native of Darlington and looks forward to continuing to provide the elite quality orthopedic care to south central Wisconsin that has been established by Dr. Dan Stormont and Kari DePauw, PA.

“While we can never fully replace the years of experience a skilled surgeon possesses, technology can provide a unique approach in certain cases,” said orthopedic surgeon Dr. Eamon Bernardoni. “Utilizing the ROSA robot will allow us to offer advanced technology in our rural community for hip and knee replacement surgery.”

During this event, guests can see a demonstration of the ROSA machine and interact with the orthopedic providers. Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Dan Stormont said, “Dr Bernadoni’s skill and experience with the Robotic Orthopedic Surgery Assistant (ROSA) brings a new level of sophistication to our orthopedic department.  It is wonderful he choose to join us. ”

This event is free of charge and open to the public.

“The ROSA assistant offers a number of key benefits for the medical staff, orthopedic surgeons, and, most importantly, patients. This new technology allows us to provide our patients with the maximum results and quicker recovery time,” Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County CEO Kathy Kuepers said.
