MONROE — A man with a last known address in Marshall is wanted for the sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in Green County.

Gilber Eleonai Navarro Gamez, 18, was charged Dec. 2 in Green County Circuit Court with one felony count of first-degree child sexual assault involving sexual contact with a child under age 13.

A warrant is issued for his arrest. The case stems from an incident Nov. 22 at a rural Blanchardville home.

The criminal complaint is based in part on a forensic interview of the 5-year-old victim. She told an investigator a visitor at her home who was “drinking a lot of beer” touched her vaginal area and left a hole in her lycra pants. She said he also tried to get her alone in his car.

The girl’s mother reported the incident to police.

Navarro Gamez, who also goes by “Yiyber” and “Miguel Gadea,” fled the residence soon after on foot. Police traced his vehicle’s registration to an employee at a Dane County dairy farm where he was previously employed.

Police learned Navarro Gamez may have moved from Marshall to Beaver Dam to work at a pizzeria, but an attempt to locate him there was unsuccessful.
