TOWN OF BELMONT — An April 16 search warrant on a trailer in the Evergreen Village Mobile Home Park in rural Belmont led to the arrest of the property owner and occupant, according to Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill.
Theodore Charles Kieler, 60, was jailed on felony charges of delivering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug-trafficking place as a party to a crime, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of meth paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer.
Green County and Lafayette County deputies, along with the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force, executed the warrant at about 6:30 a.m. on the trailer at 30972 County XX, Lot 318, and arrested Kieler.
The home did not have an active meth lab, Gill said. The charges “stem from the investigation that confirmed he was purchasing and redistributing” the drug.
The next day in court, Kieler’s cash bond was set at $5,000 with conditions that he not possess or consume controlled substances and not leave Wisconsin. State circuit court records show no criminal history for Kieler.
Another occupant of the residence, Susan A. Redfearn, 49, was detained and later released. She is being referred to the Iowa County District Attorney’s Office for potential bail jumping charges.
