MONROE - The Monroe school board Monday night eliminated the half-time virtual school principal position. Cory Hirsbrunner, the principal at Northside Elementary School, has been filling in as principal since the death of Dan Bauer in November. Hirsbrunner will continue to serve as principal for both Northside and the virtual school, with help from other administrators, Monroe Superintendent Larry Brown said.
