Construction crews doing earthwork at the new Monroe High School site had to work to get a piece of equipment unstuck from a precarious spot on the edge of a dirt pile on Oct. 2. The equipment caught the ledge of the pile, slid and was threatening to roll down the side. After about 30 minutes, the equipment was freed.
