Nassrian “Nass” (Masoumi) Coy, age 59 of Gratiot passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. She was born the daughter of Seyed Reza and Linda (Heineman) Masoumi on August 17, 1965 in Los Angelas, CA. She attended Albany High School; she later earned her GED from Blackhawk Technical College. Nass was united in marriage to Christopher Coy on September 6, 1986 at Martintown Community Church.
Nass spent her working career in customer service throughout Monroe, she worked for Walmart and Charleton; she also dedicated 15 years to Swiss Colony before her retirement. She made many lasting friendship with her fellow coworkers. Nass was known for her excellent baking and cooking; she immensely enjoyed planning, preparing and hosting for friends and family. She was blessed with a green thumb and faithfully took care of her house plants. Nass had many talents including sewing and crocheting. She will be remembered for her selfless nature as a wonderful caretaker; she had a genuine caring heart and her home was always open to anyone in need. Above all else, her family was the most important thing in her life; she cherished her time with her grandchildren and teaching them all that she knew, as well as traveling with her husband, Chris; together they took many trips to see the ocean, which was one of Nass’ favorite places to visit.
Nass is survived by her husband of 38 years, Chris of Gratiot; children, Todd (Brenda) Coy of Monroe, Jason (Jasmine) Coy of South Wayne, and Tyler Coy of Monroe; 10 grandchildren, Cailie, Leilah, Natalia, Jupiter, Aleighya, Letty, Nova, Brayden, Reza, and Abriella; her mother, Linda Fiske; siblings, Verica Liautaud and Rod Masoumi; she is further survived by her parents-in-law, Ken and Judy Coy, several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Raymond Fiske; sister-in-law, Penny Masoumi; and grandson, Kayven Coy in infancy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM (noon) at Martintown Community Church with Pastor Kevin Cernek officiating.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service, at the church.
