On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Green County Board of Supervisors:

• Reclassified a social worker position at Green County Human Services due to a resignation. The person who held the position was at a higher pay scale. The new position will not be paid as much because it is on a lower pay scale. The new hourly rate for the job is between $16 and $18.89 compared to the former hourly wage of between $18.83 and $22.36.

• Increased the number of hours for drivers who are employed by the county to provide transportation to seniors and other people with disabilities. Holcomb said the money for the extra hours will come from a state grant. He said the demand for more transportation services in the county was the reason for the increase.

• Accepted the resignation of District 29 Supervisor Craig Foreback, who moved out of his district.

• Learned the dedication for the Green County Justice Center is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
