On Tuesday, May 13, the Green County Board of Supervisors:
Rezoned the Junction House Tavern land from agriculture to commercial. The Junction House property was grandfathered in as commercial property even though property that surrounded it was zoned agriculture. Last year, after the building was destroyed by fire, it no longer was grandfathered in and reverted back to agricultural zoning. The owners of the property have expressed an interest in rebuilding and wanted the land rezoned back to commercial property.
Heard annual reports from the Land Conservation Department, Green County Register of Deeds, Green County Health Department, Green County Treasurer and the Green County Development Corporation.
Approved May 18-24 as Emergency Medical Services Week.
