TOWN OF CLARNO - Four people were injured and a 24-year-old man cited for inattentive driving Saturday evening, July 28, following a three-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 by the Sky-Vu Drive-In south of Monroe.
Deputies responded at 8:12 p.m. to the accident in the N1900 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Clarno, according to a release from the Green County Sheriff's Department.
Bradley M. Ethridge, 24, Lena, Ill., rear-ended a vehicle driven by Thelma P. Ranken, 72, Monroe, as she waited in the southbound lane to turn into the Sky-Vu Drive-In.
The impact spun Ranken's vehicle into the northbound lane, where it collided with northbound vehicle driven by Krystal K. Gille, 28, Monroe.
All three drivers, plus Ranken's passenger Crystal M. Meng, 30, Gratiot, were transported by ambulance for their injuries.
Ethridge was cited for inattentive driving.
Ranken's and Ethridge's vehicles were severely damaged and towed. Gille's vehicle was moderately damaged and also towed.
Assisting at the scene were the Monroe Police and Fire Departments, the Juda Fire Department, Green County EMS and, from Illinois, Leamons Ambulance Service and the Tri-County Ambulance District.
