About 5.5 inches of snow fell on Monroe between Monday, Jan. 8 and Tuesday, Jan. 9, according to the National Weather Service. Blanchardville saw 7.8 inches, New Glarus 7.1 inches and Darlington 6.5 inches. Benton saw the most in Lafayette County, with about 10 inches of snow. Another snow storm was set to hit Friday through Saturday, bringing another estimated 6-10 inches of snow. Blustery winds and sub-zero temperatures were to follow, with temperatures staying in the single digits or below zero until the middle of next week.
