Monroe Police

MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with injuries was reported in the 600 block of 8th Street at 1:08 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. Thomas R. Schmid, 30, Monroe, was westbound when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Monroe man. A 15-year-old male passenger in the man’s vehicle was transported by Green County EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Schmid was cited for driving with a suspended license and no proof of vehicle insurance. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — A hit-and-run crash was reported in the Town of Clarno at 10:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. Nicole M. Burke, 32, Browntown, was eastbound on Patterson Road near Schuetz Road when she reportedly took evasive action to avoid a deer. Her vehicle collided with several road signs and continued northbound on Schuetz Road. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. She later reported no injuries from the crash. She was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of a crash, hit-and-run on property adjacent to a highway and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. She was also arrested on a probation warrant and taken to the jail.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — Danelle S. Wiegel, 66, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs, at 6:51 p.m. Sunday, March 1. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Chrysler sustained moderate damage. It was driven from the scene.
