CLARNO TOWNSHIP - A seriously injured Winslow woman was flown by Med Flight helicopter to a Madison hospital following a two-vehicle accident south of Monroe Friday afternoon, March 29, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department.

Samantha J. Michael, 19, had to be extricated out of a car by the Monroe Fire Department. She was taken by Brodhead EMS to a nearby landing zone where she was picked up and flown to the University of Wisconsin Hospital.

A representative at the hospital had no updated information on her condition Monday.

The accident also injured others. Michael was a passenger in a car driven by Joshua W. Luloff, 22, Winslow. Luloff sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken by Monroe EMS to Monroe Clinic. Another passenger, Buster A. Waldrop, 16, Winslow, was also injured by declined treatment at the scene and was later taken by private vehicle to Monroe Clinic.

The other driver, Randall L. Klitzman, 57, Churubusco, Ind., was taken by Monroe EMS to Monroe Clinic for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Luloff failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of County P and Five Corner Road in Clarno Township and collided with a pickup truck driven by Klitzman, according to deputies' investigation.

"Both vehicles were then forced off the roadway and Klitzman's pickup struck a stop sign post and a power pole and overturned onto its side," Sgt. Robert Werren, Sr., wrote in a news release.

Deputies and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at 12:46 p.m.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed. The accident remains under investigation and citations are pending.
