William "Bill" Clark

William "Bill" Clark, age 65 of Brodhead, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1947 in Monroe, the son of Howard and Rose (Goecks) Clark. Bill graduated from Juda High School in 1965 and later graduated with a marketing degree from Blackhawk Technical College. He worked at many places throughout his life, Apco Manufacturing, Adams Furniture, Simmons Mattress, Ogden manufacturing, and Swiss Colony. Bill also bartended for Knutes for many years as a part time job. He was part of the Green County Harmony Chorus for 30 years, and was part of Rudys Boys "Tug of War" team when he was younger.

He is survived by special friends: Chester (Vickie) Wilson, which he commonly called his brother; Christine McGraw, and Sandy Jones; his Aunt, Doris Goecks; step-children, which he called his own: Bruce Johnson, Brian Johnson, Jodi Wutrich, Becky Lange, Bart Johnson, Pennee Barron, Karlene Dillingham, and Bob McManus; plus many cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles, Emil "Bud" and Bill Goecks and aunts, Marguerite Klopfenstein and Florence Ladwig.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Everson Funeral Home, Brodhead, with Reverend Wendy Slaback officiating. Private burial will be in Oakley Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Monroe Clinic Hospital ICU staff and the cardiology department, the social workers, and everyone who helped Bill out.
