William A. Stauffacher, age 67 of Monroe, died Monday May 16, 2016 at Graceland Manor, Monroe. William was born August 6, 1948 in Monroe, the son of Curtis E. and Hazel V. (Smith) Stauffacher of Argyle, WI. William worked many years in the potato field's driving tractor for various farming companies in Adams County, WI. William worked for Plainfield Trucking in Plainfield, WI before retiring then moving back to Monroe. William loved to go fishing and spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Julie (Todd) Wenger of Lodi, WI and Jennifer Stauffacher of Westfield, WI and a son Caleb Stauffacher of Adams, WI; three grandchildren Dustin Madigan of Arlington, WI, Desiree Madigan of Montello, WI and Josiah Stauffacher of Westfield, WI; sister Beverly (John) Schulthess of Brodhead, WI and two brothers, Gary (Karen) Stauffacher of Hutchinson, KS and Donnie (Portia) Stauffacher of Farmington, NH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David (Lorraine) Stauffacher of Stoughton, WI, Arthur (Donna) Stauffacher of South Wayne, WI and Robert Stauffacher of Argyle, WI.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 26, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the American Legion, Monroe WI.
