JANESVILLE - Walter "Wally" Wunschel, Sr., age 67, of Janesville, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his home. He was born in Freeport, IL on April 6, 1943, the son of Nellis and Marie (Ostrander) Wunschel, was a 1961 graduate of Juda High School and served in the US Army reserves. Wally owned K & W Truck and Auto repair which he affectionately called "Wally World." He was a member of the VFW, Loyal Order of Moose, Elks Club, and the Highwood Club House.

He is survived by his 5 children: Robin Heumiller, Lori Willman, and Johnnie Stewart all of Janesville, Walter "Sam" Wunschel, Jr. of Madison, and Shawn (Steve) Hoff of Janesville; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his companion for over 20 years, Lisa Condon of Edgerton; and 5 siblings: Helen Behring of Illinois, Bob (Nancy) Wunschel of Juda, William (Astrid) Wunschel and Richard (Marcia) Wunschel both of Monroe, and Donald (Jennifer) Wunschel of Juda. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME 1800 East Racine St., Janesville, WI 53545.
